According to a report by Torben Hoffman of Sky Sports, it was a relatively busy day for news during Bayern Munich’s training session today.
Despite not playing yesterday in Bayern’s 4-1 win over VfB Stuttgart, back-up striker Sandro Wagner did not attend team training, and no reason was provided by the club for the absence. Of course, such an event has fueled speculation that the big man could be on his way out of Bavaria.

Nach unseren Infos würde der Verein bei einem lukrativen Angebot und Wechselwunsch von Wagner dem Stürmer keine Steine in den Weg legen. @SkySportNewsHD @SkySportDE
Sandro Wagner was not at training today. No reason for his absence was given by FC Bayern. According to our information, the club would not put any obstacles in the striker’s way if made a lucrative offer and given Wagner’s desire for a transfer. @SkySportNewsHD @SkySportDE
If the information from Sky Sports is correct, Wagner’s absence could indeed be related to a potential move. On the flip side, it is also possible that Wagner was merely sick, injured, or had a personal reason to miss the training session. Regardless, this will be a situation to monitor as the transfer window will close on January 31st.
Meanwhile, Arjen Robben returned to team training on a limited basis as he participated in some of the drills per the @FCBayernEN team account.

The Dutchman will surely be eager to hit the pitch as he hopes to prove that he can stay healthy and be productive heading into free agency this summer. Below is video footage featuring a portion of Robben’s effort during training.
