Video: Alphonso Davies talks through his first weeks with Bayern Munich

Over the course of the past few weeks, we have read many quotes by and about Canada international and former Vancouver Whitecaps player Alphonso Davies.

Now, however, Fox Soccer has released video of Bayern Munich’s Canadian gem talking through his time with the club so far and what the experience was like to walk into the locker room for the first time. The highlight is the excitement that you can see on Davies’ face when he talks about first seeing Arjen Robben. In addition, Davies spoke about how the team has welcomed him and made the transition to a new life in Munich a bit easier by immediately accepting him.

Davies, of course, made his Bayern debut as he started against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Telekom Cup final on Sunday. A Bundesliga showdown with Hoffenheim is looming and injuries to both Robben and Franck Ribery could open the door for Davies to hit the pitch a little earlier than expected should the game conditions permit an opportunity for the 18-year-old to make his official debut.
