Bayern Munich’s central midfield has depth and talent, but that does not appear to be slowing down the club’s effort to add another player to mix per multiple reports.
French outlet RMC Sport initially reported the story, which was later confirmed by SportBild’s Christian Falk. Per RMC Sport:
Bayern Munich has officially contacted the Parisian leaders in recent days. The sports director of the Bavarian club, Hasan Salihamidzic, has talked with PSG. The German club wants to recruit the midfielder in January, for a transfer fee. If this is not possible, he intends to do everything possible to have it this summer.
Falk then corroborated the RMC Sport report via Twitter:
Transfer News: @FCBayern has contacted @PSG_inside for a Transfer of Adrien Rabiot for this season. our information of @SPORTBILD is consistent with @RMCsport. also an @juventusfc and @FCBarcelona have contacted PSG because of Rabiot

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey was rumored to be a midfielder that Bayern had interest in, but he is now heading to Juventus. Perhaps that move has made Bayern shift its focus to Paris Saint-Germain’s Rabiot.
Regardless, Rabiot has long been linked to Barcelona, but given Bayern’s aggressive tactics in this transfer window, maybe the Bavarians are going to make a strong pitch to bring in the 23-year-old Frenchman now.
