BunDucksLiga qualifying: Bayern Munich knocks Hannover out of the sky, qualifies anyway

This is better than the Premier League.

The qualifying round is in! After some drama, Franz put FC Bayern Munich into the final through some some Sergio Ramos-esque gamesmanship (not that we’re complaining). For the third time in four years, Bayern Munich will be in the finals of the BunDucksLiga.

How it happened

Put in group A alongside the likes of Stuttgart, Nurnberg, Hannover, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Freiburg, things didn’t start well for Franz. Seemingly unaccustomed to the course, he quickly fell off the pace as Schatz (Hannover’s duck) raced into the lead, followed closely by Nurnberg.

Things seemed grim for the Bavarians heading into the latter part of lap 2, until the game changing moment took place. When closing in on the penultimate checkpoint, frontrunners Hannover, made the mistake of slowing down a little bit too much.

Seeing his chance, Franz pushed into overdrive, smacking straight into the back of Hannover’s drone, which sent the poor duck careening onto the grassy pitch of the Borussia Park. This burst of speed pushed Franz into the lead. However, not to be undone in their home stadium, clawed back into pole position midway through the third lap. Eventually, both ducks qualified to the final.

The finalists

Group A: Junter - Borussia Monchengladbach, Franz - Bayern Munich

Group B: Nobby - Borussia Dortmund, Zecke - Hertha Berlin

Group C: Lumpi - Fortuna Dusseldorf, Yyyyves - Schalke

We don’t know when the final will happen, but when it does we’ll let you know.
