We’re back on the trail of the three Bayern Munich players on on loan to start the 2018-19 Bundesliga season. Marco Friedl and Timothy Tillman are playing this season with Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Nürnberg, while Adrian Fein is in the 2.Bundesliga with Jahn Regensburg.
Marco Friedl - Werder Bremen
Friedl came on as a 88th minute substitute in Werder Bremen’s 1-1 draw with Nürnberg. While Werder did concede the equalizer in the 92nd minute, Friedl wasn’t involved in the play. It’s been a struggle for Friedl to get on the field through the first three games of the Bundesliga season.
Friedl’s loan with Werder ends in June 2019.
Timothy Tillman - Nürnberg
Tillman did not dress for Nürnberg’s 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen in Matchday 3. However, he played for Nürnberg II in their Regionalliga Bayern game against Schweinfurt on Saturday. Tillman went 86 minutes in their 2-2 draw. By all accounts, one of the things holding Tillman back right now from getting on the field with Nürnberg’s first team is his adjustment to the physicality of the Bundesliga.
Tillman’s loan with Nürnberg ends in June 2019.
Adrian Fein - Jahn Regensburg (2.Bundesliga Matchday 5)
Fein did not dress for Jahn Regensburg’s 0-2 loss to Dynamo Dresden on Friday. He is still adjusting to life in Regensburg and expects to be fully situated in the coming week. Over the international break, he played in a friendly for Regensburg against Austrian side SV Ried. Regensburg expects Fein to challenge for a spot in their midfield this season
Fein’s loan with Jahn Regensburg ends in June 2019.
