Bayern annihilates FC Rottach-Egern in DFL Supercup tuneup

You ever want to see a team score 20 goals? Apparently Niko Kovač did.

In a friendly match against Zugspitze Regional League A-Klasse side, FC Rottach-Egern, Bayern Munich faced little competition in dispatching the over-matched team, 20-2.

Yup, 20-2.

In a game that was meant as more of a gesture of good will than an actual competition, Die Roten had a lot of fun in piling up the goals. Obviously the Bayern core group of players was physically dominant, but 19-year old Maximilian Franzke certainly made an impression. Franzke, a winger for Bayern II, played with pace and flashed solid skill in hanging with the big boys of Bayern on his way to racking up a hat trick and an assist.

Robert Lewandowski, Sandro Wagner, and Kingsley Coman also had three goals apiece, while Thomas Müller and James Rodriguez each had a brace.

There is obviously not a ton of serious analysis to take away from something like this, but squad appeared to be having a great time. In fact, even Lewandowski cracked a few smiles.

Here is a video containing all of the goals:

If Kingley Coman averages a hat trick per game, this season will be pretty easy for Bayern.
