Pavard cryptic with Tolisso over potential move

Benjamin Pavard stormed onto the scene this summer as he and Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso conquered world football with the French National team. The French defender played a prominent role at right back, contributing one of the goals of the tournament. What is even more impressive about the young Frenchmen’s World Cup is the fact that he was playing out of his natural position as a central defender.

Even prior to his coming out party, the VFB Stuttgart man had been heavily-linked with the Rekordmeister throughout the transfer window. It has even been reported that he will be a Bayern Munich player for the 2019/20 campaign.

According to Bild, despite the rumors of silly season, Pavard did not show his hand regarding a move to the Bavarian capital to Tolisso. Tolisso gave the following account of his discussions with Pavard as it pertained to Bayern:

We made jokes about the rumors circulating that he will join Bayern. But to be honest, I have no idea if he will come or not, he told me nothing.

It could bode well that these two seem to have a positive relationship, but it remains to be seen if they will pair up for both club and country. Bild also reported that Stuttgart is looking to hold on to the world champion for one more year and Pavard is keen to stay.

According to Stuttgart board member Michael Reschke (60) Pavard wants to stay another year in Stuttgart.

Whether Pavard comes this season or next, however, his arrival in Munich appears to be inevitable.

Do we need Pavard this season? Would he break into the Bayern first team?
