Juventus’ Chiellini excited to see Alphonso Davies in MLS All Star Game

The 2018 MLS All Star Game takes place on Wednesday. This year, the MLS All Stars will face Juventus for the first time. The Bayern Munich-bound Alphonso Davies was named to the All Star Team last month as a “Commissioner’s Pick”.

In the build up to the match, Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini was asked if there was any particular player from the MLS All Star Team that he was interested in facing. Davies was the first name out of his mouth.

“I’m encouraged, because it’s not... It’s particular that a big club from Europe buys a young player from MLS and buy him for so much. I’m a little curious to be here to see him.”

The MLS All Star Game is the league’s mid-year party where the fans and league pick the top players to face off against a European heavyweight. Here’s the full list of this year’s MLS All Star Team.
