In what has been rumored for weeks, Bayern Munich’s fiery Chilean midfielder, Arturo Vidal, will reportedly leave Germany and head to Serie A side Inter Milan. While nothing is official, the terms appear to be the following:

  • Vidal agrees to extend his contract to 2020
  • Bayern will loan Vidal to Inter Milan on a one-year agreement with an option to buy
  • The transfer fee would be €30M

Despite the reports, there has no been no official confirmation from either club or Vidal himself.

Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra of W Radio is one of the outlets who broke the news.

⚽️ #FCBayern has approved the departure of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal (31). The terms required are: to renew his contract until 2020 and transfer to Inter with a purchase option of €30m.

In addition, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà reports the agreement via his website and Twitter, stating that Vidal has agreed to extend his contract until 2020 and will be loaned to Inter Milan with the option for the Nerazzurri to purchase Vidal for €30M.

For Arturo Vidal to Inter, Bayern Munich completely opened up a few minutes ago. There already was the player’s “yes”; now the German club has also softened its stance and given the green light to the loan with an option to buy. It would work, or rather we can now say it will work, as follows: the Chilean will extend his contract until 2020 in order to facilitate the operation, the same procedure that allowed Inter to buy Miranda from Atletico in the summer of 2015. Vidal’s fee can drop to the 30 million initially requested by Bayern.

Tancredi Palmieri, an Italian beIN Sports correspondent, also tweeted the news citing a Sport Italia report.

As additional details are reported or if Vidal or either club formally releases the news, we will be updating our coverage.
