Injury report: Sanches’ balky back, Rafinha’s achy adductor, Bernat’s faulty foot

No Bayern match would be complete without a few injuries.

The International Champions Cup tour is over and it appears (fingers crossed) that Bayern Munich did not sustain any major injuries.

Renato Sanches was pulled from the starting lineup against Manchester City due to an issue with his back per Sky reporter Torben Hoffmann. In addition, Hoffmann revealed that Juan Bernat was kept on the bench with a foot injury.

Back problems solved by Renato’s @Sanches #FCBayern vertebral blockade! Nothing worse with the Portuguese! @JuanBernat with problems on the left foot therefore, both were not used! @SkySportNewsHD @SkySportDE

Neither the injury to Sanches, nor Bernat’s ailment appear to be serious, but the players were apparently held out for precautionary reasons.

Hoffmann also tweeted out that Rafinha was subbed off after the first half because of an adductor injury.

Adductors problems @R13_official Therefore the change to the break! @SkySportNewsHD @SkySportDE

With Javi Martinez already sitting out the game due to the knock he received against Juventus on Wednesday, Bayern can probably walk away from this tour satisfied that everyone is relatively in tact.
