Bayern Munich has announced its traveling group for the United States leg of the International Champions Cup tour and as expected, it is a mix of veterans and youth; minus the squad’s World Cup contingent.

The core of experienced players such as Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Sandro Wagner, Sven Ulreich, Rafinha, Kingsley Coman, and Juan Bernat should give fans enough of the first-team feel, while Serge Gnabry and Renato Sanches will give the fans a chance to see what they will bring to the roster this season.
Complimenting the veteran group will be a corps of youngsters, some of whom have already shown they are capable of competing at a high level. The list of youth academy and amateur players includes Kwasi Okyere Wriedt, Maximilian Zaiser, Ryan Johansson, Oliver Batista-Meier, Paul Will, Wooyeong Jeong, Marcel Zylla, Jonathan Meier, Chris Richards, Christian Früchtl, Meritan Shabani, Josip Stanisic, Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, and Joshua Zirkzee.
For Richards, an American from Hoover, Alabama, the quick return trip to the States will surely be exciting. The 18-year old, who starred for Texans Soccer Club before moving over to FC Dallas, will have a great opportunity to showcase himself to a broader base of fans domestically.
In addition, one wrinkle that was added this morning was that James Rodriguez will join the team in Miami for training, but will not play in the game against Manchester City.
