All your favorite Bayern Munich stars should be in action on Friday as Germany take on Saudi Arabia in a pre-World Cup friendly. The defending champions will likely use this game to build squad cohesion and sort out all the kinks before the group stages begin, which is pretty much the point of friendlies like these. Most importantly, it gives German captain Manuel Neuer more game time to get back his form before the tournament.
As the result of this friendly is completely meaningless, Joachim Loew’s side will hope that the Saudis can expose any weaknesses they might have in the team, so that they may be corrected before crunch time.

TV/Streaming: USA (ESPN3, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Deportes+), Germany (ARD Das Erste), Canada (lol), India (SONY TEN 2, SONY TEN 2 HD, SONY TEN 1, SONY TEN 1 HD)
Tips for commenting:
- If you’re a new member, feel free to introduce yourself. Don’t feel pressured or anything, we’re
mostlyvery friendly. Also, we’re from all parts of the world so don’t feel shy if you’re from a country that doesn’t seem represented on the blog.
- Refresh the page regularly to keep up with the discussion. One refresh every 55-60 seconds is ideal but if that’s too much then just try for one every five minutes and after every goal.
- The goal celebrations are for everyone to participate in. Even if you’re lagging behind the others, keep replying to the most recent call of the player’s name. Even if you missed the first call, just start from the second, and so on.
