Juventus looking at Bayern Munich’s Polish striker (Football Italia)
Okay, so teams from La Liga, the Premier League, and Ligue 1 have all been linked to Bayern Munich’s striker extraordinaire, Robert Lewandowski; but one heavy-hitting league did not have a representative in on the fun.
Enter Serie A and Juventus.
The Old Lady has its eyes on the Pole, according to a report by Corriere dello Sport that was picked up by Football Italia.
Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is a target for Juventus if they sell Gonzalo Higuain, according to the Corriere dello Sport. Over the last few days, there have been growing rumours that Higuain is on the market, just two years after the club paid €90m to activate his release clause from Napoli. Juve have avoided denying the reports, only saying that they’ll “see what happens” after the World Cup.
Of all the rumors swirling around Lewandowski, this might be the weakest of the lot. That said, who knows? It’s crazy time in summer transfer window land. Turin, though, might not be the idea spot for the RL9 brand exposure that is seemingly required for a move.
Nabil Fekir’s agent denies any connection to Bayern (InsideFutbol)
Per a report by Bild that was picked up by InsideFutbol, the agent for reputed Bayern target Nabil Fekir denied having any communication with Die Roten.
Nabil Fekir’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes denies Bayern Munich talks, telling Bild: “There is no contact with Bayern.”
Tis the season for denials you know.
Report: Bayern scouting Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (The Sun)
In what would be a somewhat odd move considering the contract status of both Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich, The Sun is reporting that Bayern is taking a close look at Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
BAYERN MUNICH will watch England keeper Jordan Pickford at the World Cup — as question marks grow over Manuel Neuer’s future. Munich spies have been checking out Pickford playing for Everton over the past few months as part of their search for the next big thing between the sticks. And Pickford’s progress since his £30million move from Sunderland means the Bavarian giants have identified the 24-year-old as a top choice at a time when Neuer has been out for EIGHT MONTHS with a foot injury.
Hmmm....perhaps Bayern is starting its post-Neuer plans a little early? Maybe, but it’s likely the start of a long scouting process that could carry on through next season (just a hunch).

A better look at the Allianz Arena updates (@FCBayernUS)
Yesterday, we had a pic that my color blind eyes thought showed some newer shades of red, but here is a closer (and better) look at some of the rampant reddening of the facility.
