World Cup Gamethread: England vs Belgium / Panama vs Tunisia

It’s the final day of group stage games! Let’s do this!

Senegal vs Colombia — Group H

For Senegal, this game is really simple. Get a point, and you are in the knockout round. Colombia can guarantee their knockout round spot with a win, but they can also get in with a draw if Poland does them a favor and beats Japan. Can James Rodriguez lead Colombia back to the knockout round of the World Cup?

Japan vs Poland — Group H

Robert Lewandowski and Poland have been eliminated, so they have no thing to play for except pride. Japan, however, can actually advance to the knockout round with a win, draw, or loss. It all depends what happens in the other game, though. Japan can guarantee themselves a spot in the next round with a win or a draw. They will need some help if they lose this match, but they could still get through to the next round.

England vs Belgium — Group G

Belgium needs a victory here to win the group. Anything other than that, and England will take first. It’s looking like Romelu Lukaku will be missing this one for the Belgians, so it will be interesting to see what tactic Roberto Martinez employs to counter a ... surprisingly good England team?

Panama vs Tunisia — Group G

This game is being played between two bad teams and means absolutely nothing for either except for pride. Let’s hope they have some fun out there.
