Mertian Shabani is the latest youngster in the Bayern Munich system to sign a deal as the 19-year old offensive midfielder inked a contract that will run through June 30, 2020. Shabani has been in the Bayern system for 12 years and recently made his Bundesliga debut in Die Roten’s 4-1 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt on April 28th.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is excited to keep another homegrown product in tow.
Meritan is a highly talented and promising player who has been through all our youth teams. We’re happy to have him at the club over the long term. He has already shown his potential on the training ground and in the league game against Frankfurt.
