Footy Headlines have revealed yet another update on Bayern Munich’s new kits for the 2018/2019 season. We’ve already seen glimpses of what the home and away kits will look like, but now we can have a look at what the goalkeepers will be wearing as well. The leak of the goalkeeper’s kit was accompanied by a photo-shoot with some of the players in the Bayern Munich squad sporting the new home kit; Manuel Neuer was photographed in the keeper’s kit.

Consistent with the theme of combining elements of past jerseys with new, subtle additions, the new white and gray striped goalkeeper’s kit offers something a bit different. On close inspection, the jersey combines three different shades of gray. The darkest of the shades appears on the pinstripes down the shoulders and a quarter of the length of the sleeves, mimicking the white stripes of the home kit.
The contrasting boldness of the gray stripes across the front of the kit offers a different spin on the subtle off-red diamond patterns that appear on the front of the home kit. The color scheme also closely mimics Germany’s new kit for this summer’s World Cup, in the true spirit of “FC Deutschland,” as Bayern president Uli Hoeness refers to his dream vision for the club to be dominated by German players.
The logo for T-Mobile, Bayern’s main sponsor, will appear on the front of the kit and (not pictured) a Qatar Airways patch will feature on the left sleeve, opposite a Deutscher Fussballmeister 2017/2018 patch on the right sleeve.

Bayern Munich are set to sport their new kits this weekend in their final Bundesliga match of the season vs Vfb Stuttgart. They will be officially launched shortly thereafter by Adidas. The away kit is scheduled to be released at some point shortly after this summer’s World Cup.
