BFW postseason breakdown: Most Outstanding Commenter

At Bavarian Football Works we couldn’t do what we do without our fantastic readers and commenters. While we appreciate each of you, our writers took some time to lay who we thought was the Most Outstanding Commenter this season.

The commenters are the life blood of this Bayern Munich-based site. They have (mostly) great opinions, (mostly) awesome ideas, a (mostly) terrific sense of humor, and a provide a genuine sense of belonging to a community to anyone who regularly frequents this site.

Below, our writers took a run at selecting their own “Most Outstanding Commenter” with a short explanation why. Give the selections (and a few bonus names!) a vote in the poll and leave a comment (what you do best!) as to why or who you thought should have been the choice.

Markopolo. There are plenty of great commenters on the site and I always enjoy reading the thoughts of the readership. My pick for this year would be Markopolo, who brings insightful thoughts and helps drive conversation where everyone can contribute.

Ineednoname

Ineednoname (myself, obviously). There can be no other. [Ed. note: So humble...]

John N. Dillon

Bayern München. She’s a relative newcomer to the blog, but her incisive comments, fierce loyalty, “Mia San Mia” attitude, and all around positive energy made a big impression on me. And she speaks German!

Brian Kellogg

Anfi8. Consistently good commentary and brings great points to the table. Always willing to give an opinion and debate respectfully.

Everyone! This may seem like the easy way out, but it’s true. You all have been outstanding this season and are the reason we’re able to do what we do. The presence you have shown each and every match day has been amazing, and the site wouldn’t be what it is without you all.

Mike Lynch

Markopolo. He really knows his stuff, balances his insight with a dash of humor and he posts Stern Des Sudens on the reg in the game threads. All in all, even for a Canadian, he’s alright.

Tom Adams

Bayern München. Comments on nearly every article, contributes to the discussion, and always keeps it civil. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a negative comment from this commenter and the comments always have substance, which is something I highly appreciate, especially when it’s something I have written.
