After weighing his options, Rafinha has opted to extend his stay in Munich for at least one more season per an announcement on FCBayern.com.

Signed, sealed and delivered. Rafinha has extended his stay at FC Bayern München by at least another year. The 32-year-old signed a new contract with the record champions at Säbener Straße on Tuesday morning.

Rafinha, who provides excellent depth behind Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba, was ecstatic to be able to suit up with Die Roten for another year.

I’m very happy. It’s a dream come true playing for this club. I’ve been here for seven years and now I’ve added another one. I really feel at home in Munich at one of the best clbs in the world.

Rafinha, who made 39 appearances this season, joined Bayern Munich in 2011 and has been a part of six Bundesliga championships, won the DFB Pokal three times, and was also a part of the treble-winning roster in 2013. The Brazilian joins fellow veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, who signed one-year contract extensions last week.
