The last time we saw Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action Die Roten were dismantling Borussia Dortmund. This match-up against FC Augsburg, however, is sandwiched in between the Champions League tie with Sevilla FC. We asked three of our writers to try to read the mind of Jupp Heynckes and predict how Bayern would line up for the contest.
An uncharacteristically quiet performance from Robert Lewandowski against Sevilla makes his status again Augsburg a tough one to predict. In addition, injuries to Juan Bernat and Arturo Vidal leave them out of action, while David Alaba’s balky back could leave Heynckes some room for creativity with his starters.
