David Alaba is questionable for Real Madrid

A tradition unlike any other, Bayern Munich will square up against Real Madrid in the Champions League missing some key players. Already without Arturo Vidal, Manual Neuer, and Kingsley Coman, Die Roten will be also likely be without the services of Corentin Tolisso and possibly David Alaba.

Per a report by Kicker, Alaba’s status is “questionable” and would be replaced in the lineup by Rafinha.

The left-back, bothered for several weeks by sciatica emanating in the thigh, has been only sporadically in use. On Sunday he trained in large part with colleagues, but his availability on Wednesday in the semifinal first leg is not certain yet. The team is waiting to see if this training session will trigger new after-effects on Sunday. Should Alaba fail (to recover), Rafinha would defend on the left.
