The Brazilian isn’t going anywhere.

Bayern Munich’s Brazilian stalwart Rafinha seems to be close to a contract extension. The right back seemed to be ready to go back to Brazil a few months ago. Now it seems that he’s ready to commit to the club for another year.

Rafinha had this to say about the subject:

Nothing has been set in stone, but my management and the club have been informed. We want to wait out the decisive games before we announce anything. But the tendency is good that I’ll extend my contract.

The Brazilian has seen over 2,000 minutes of play over the course of the season so far, filling in at left back as well as his regular position at right back. Good fullbacks these days are hard to find, so Bayern Munich will be glad that a veteran of the squad will be extending his stay at the club.

Stay tuned for more info.
