The Daily Schmankerl is here to satisfy your needs for all the Bayern Munich tidbits and news items floating about on the web.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid want David Alaba and Barca would love to dispatch André Gomes to Bayern in return (Don Balon)
Depending on what Don Balon report you choose to believe, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid may both be players in a David Alaba sweepstakes. To add fuel to the fire, André Gomes could be a bartering chip for Barca to help “persuade” Bayern to make a move. Of course, Gomes said just the other day, “For me, it’s a dream to play for Barça. It’s the club I love the most. I’ll do my best ot stay here and reach my goals,” so perhaps the Don neglected to tell him he’s part of a transfer coup.
Athletico Madrid is keeping an eye on Juan Bernat (Sport)
Depending on how serious the Don Balon piece is above, Juan Bernat may or may not be in a prime position to exit Munch this summer. If he does, Athletico Madrid sounds like it would be a pretty nice landing spot for the left-back.
Bayern taking a look at Chelsea loanee Kenedy (Sky Sports)
Sky Sports is reporting that Bayern is taking a look at a Brazilian winger not names Malcom. Nothing says “future Bayern material” like a guy who has fitness and attitude problems.
The Brazilian joined Chelsea from Fluminense in 2015, but fitness and attitude issues have seen him make just 27 first-team appearances. Matt Law of the Telegraph noted he was criticised by his manager for yawning during a team meeting, which came shortly after he was sent home from a pre-season tour of Asia following backlash from his social media posts insulting China.
Sounds like a winner to me!
Renato Sanches reportedly spending another season with the Swans (Wales Online)
Carry on Bayern’s wayward son, there will be peace when you are gone. The Portuguese midfielder looks like he’s headed for another season in Wales. Even if he somehow finds a semblance of the form he once displayed, it would be hard-pressed to think he would crack the XI at Bayern any time over the next two seasons (at a minimum).
Bayern teases its 2018 Summer Tour in the United States (FCBayern.com)
It looks like Bayern will make its way westward for another United States tour this summer and should release the dates on April 17th. So...what American city would you like to see Bayern visit?
We don’t have any inside information as of yet, but Chicago and Dallas have been long rumored as destinations for Die Roten this summer.
