Malcom Oliveira, commonly known as Malcom, one of the most coveted young wingers on the market, raised the hope of Bayern Munich fans as he admitted that he thinks it’s time to leave Ligue 1. Having been liked to the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Malcom said that he is eager to realize his dream of playing for a club like Bayern Munich. Even though Jupp Heynckes made it clear that the club is not actively looking to sign the winger, the rumors didn’t quite die out as Malcom’s agent recently visited the Bavarian capital.

Malcom has allegedly been linked with the German champions since the beginning of 2018. According to recent rumors, the Brazilian winger had reportedly agreed a five year deal with the Bavarians, pending negotiation with Bordeaux over a transfer fee.

The 21 year old has scored 8 goals and 6 assists in the 27 Ligue 1 appearances he has made for Bordeaux. He was all set for a move to England in the beginning of January until it hit the skids, which made him wait until the coming summer for a move from France. Speaking to Sky, here’s what the winger had to say:

I think it’s time, I’ve done a good job here and I’m grateful to Bordeaux, but I need a new challenge now, I have to set new goals. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. It would be a dream to play there someday. Everyone knows Bayern Munich.

Glowing words from the young Brazilian. Bayern Munich are in search of wingers to replace the ageing Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, and Malcom fits the bill. Is a potential transfer imminent?
