Seven Bayern Munich players have been called up to represent Germany in the upcoming international friendlies. With the exception of Manuel Neuer, the entirety of Bayern’s German contingent have been called up, showing that the club are still the go-to destination for German players in Europe. Here’s who Jogi Loew is taking with him:

Jerome Boateng (CB)
Mats Hummels (CB)
Niklas Sule (CB)
Joshua Kimmich (RB)

Sebastian Rudy (DM)

Thomas Muller (SS / RW)
Sandro Wagner (FW)

In addition to the above list, future Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka was chosen to represent his country. Former Bayern players including Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez, Liverpool’s Emre Can, and Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos were also called up. The squad will play both Spain and Brazil in international games, which could be important warm-ups for the impending World Cup in Russia.

In the absence of Manuel Neuer, Bayern captian Thomas Muller is expected to reprise his role for the National Team. Germany kick off against Spain at the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf on the 23rd of March.
