Corentin Tolisso sustained a nasty looking injury just 15 minutes after coming on as a substitute for Arturo Vidal in Bayern’s emphatic 6-0 win over Hamburg. After receiving treatment on the pitch for a few moments, he was helped off and headed back to the dressing room; he looked to be unable to put much weight on the injured leg (right).

Tolisso came off far worse in a challenge with Hamburg’s Vasilije Janjicic when the two went for a loose ball simultaneously, clashing shins. He immediately started clutching his right leg as soon as he went to ground, and judging by his facial expressions, was in a massive amount of pain. His on-looking teammates looked quite worried when they had gone over to console him, suggesting that this could be a serious injury, unfortunately so.

Speaking after the win, Jupp Heynckes provided an update on his midfielder (via FC Bayern):

Hopefully for Bayern and Tolisso, the injury is nothing serious and he’ll be able to return to action within a week or so. Get well soon, Tolisso!
