Paderborn vs Bayern Munich: Gamethread

New, comments

It’s weird that Paderborn don’t have a nickname. What am I supposed to call them?

It’s Pokal time! Bayern Munich travel to Paderborn, Germany to face, well ... er, Paderborn. Who said football is complicated?

Paderborn will be looking for an upset against the mighty Bavarians, and they might hope to get one. Bayern Munich will be without Jerome Boateng (stomach bug) and Javi Martinez (ankle injury), while Thiago Alcantara and Manuel Neuer have yet to recover from their injuries. David Alaba remains doubtful for the game, but Arturo Vidal should be ready to start. Aside from that, Kingsley Coman, James Rodriguez, and Arjen Robben are all healthy and ready to go. Paderborn’s not gonna have an easy time of it.

It’s Bayern time.

  1. If you’re a new member, feel free to introduce yourself. Don’t feel pressured or anything, we’re mostly very friendly. Also, we’re from all parts of the world so don’t feel shy if you’re from a country that doesn’t seem represented on the blog.
  2. Refresh the page regularly to keep up with the discussion. One refresh every 55-60 seconds is ideal but if that’s too much then just try for one every five minutes and after every goal.
  3. The goal celebrations are for everyone to participate in. Even if you’re lagging behind the others, keep replying to the most recent call of the player’s name. Even if you missed the first call, just start from the second, and so on.
