Just as we finish digesting a Mirror.co.uk report, it seems that Sport Bild have come up with new information regarding Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Malcom.
According to this report, Bayern Munich met with the Brazilian winger’s representatives as recently as a few weeks ago. Apparently, the player’s entourage and the German club agreed to a five-year deal “on principle”.
The article states that there have not been any negotiations between the clubs as of yet. Malcom is a highly valuable star, wanted by the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Bordeaux will be unlikely to let him go without a huge fee. Sport Bild cites a number of 60 million Euros, which would make the Brazilian Bayern’s most expensive player by far — were the transfer to go through.
Could Malcom be the Arjen Robben successor that Bayern are looking for? Here’s his stats radar:

Not bad at all. Actually, that’s VERY good. Apparently, Spurs wanted to sign Malcom in the winter, but negotiations broke down due to Bordeaux’s high demands for a transfer fee. Whether or not Bayern will be ready to meet those demands remains to be seen. However, it is clear that Malcom will leave his club in the summer.
“I will choose a team and Bordeaux will let me move on”, he said while in Brasil.
