Bayern Munich’s injured list has been significantly shortened, and Niko Kovač made some tactical fine-tuning.

Bayern had a training session on Wednesday morning and here are some positive news regarding injuries. We already witnessed that Kingsley Coman and Thiago Alcantara came back form injuries during Bayern’s last game against Werder Bremen.

The good news is that Franck Ribery and Joshua Kimmich are also back to full training after a minor setback. Both of them had slight knee problems, but fortunately are now fully fit.

Coman did some running with his teammates and then went to train individually in performance center, while Thiago made a full training.

One problem from this morning is that Arjen Robben sat out today’s session due to a thigh problem, but it is reported that it is not a serious problem and he should be returning soon.

James Rodriguez and Corentin Tolisso both trained individually in the performance center.

With three days left before the Bavarian derby against 1. FC Nürnberg, FC Bayern’s official site tells us that Kovac used the time to work on some finer tactical points, switching to two holding midfielders, as Bayern played last two games. The focus during the open session was on coordination between the back four and the two central midfielders.

It is always good to see more and more players recovering from injuries, and it will certainly be interesting to see how will Bayern adapt to this formation.
