Bayern Munich have made a move for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports. The Bavarians have offered £15 million plus add-ons for the winger; however, Chelsea are asking for €25 million. This builds upon reporting that Bayern were prepping a €14.4 million offer for his services.
Despite no reports of them making an offer for the young winger, Borussia Dortmund could throw a wrinkle in this by including Hudson-Odoi in another proposed transfer.
ESPN FC’s Raphael Honigstein is reporting that Chelsea are lining up a €50+ million offer for Christian Pulisic. With reporting from England and Germany now stating that Dortmund is also interested in Hudson-Odoi, they may try to work out a “Pulisic for Hudson-Odoi and cash” deal with Chelsea to combine the two deals into one.
Bayern haven’t officially given up in the chase for Pulisic, according to Honigstein; however, they have set their sights firmly on Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz and Hudson-Odoi. At this point, it’s hard to see Bayern continuing to press for Pulisic when other, less expensive but just as viable options are available.
After a quiet summer on the incoming transfers front, Bayern appear set to spend big in January to prep the squad ahead of next season.
