In the midst of all this excitement over the Champions League draw, we haven’t forgotten that Bayern Munich still play in the Bundesliga. Squaring up this time is RB Leipzig, who Niko Kovac described as having a similar playstyle to Liverpool’s. Could this be a chance for the Bavarians to get some practice in?
Team News
Amazingly, there are no new injuries this week. According to coach Kovac, Franck Ribery, who was said to be doubtful, will definitely be available for selection. This doesn’t mean that he’ll start, but it’s good sign for the overall fitness of the squad.
This means that only Arjen Robben, Corentin Tolisso, and James Rodriguez are confirmed to be injured for the game. As for the way Bayern Munich will line up, don’t expect too many changes from the XI that demolished Hannover on Saturday. The question is whether Mats Hummels or Jerome Boateng (or both?) will start. In his press conference, Kovac was coy about the possibility.
Since there’s very little new to say, here’s my best guess for the lineup:

An added bonus for Bayern? Emil Forsberg is still sidelined by injury, and Marcel Sabitzer is serving a suspension.
