According to a report by Bild’s Tobias Altschäffl, Frank Ribery is likely to miss Wednesday’s midweek Bundesliga tilt between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.
Ribery was not included in the game day roster by Niko Kovač on Saturday in Bayern’s 4-0 win over Hannover 96, but there has not been any commentary from the club or media on what Ribery’s official status is or what exactly is ailing the 35-year old star. (The alleged Bayern mole is clearly slacking on releasing this information.)
On Saturday, Ribery’s spot on the game day roster was taken by 19-year old South Korean Woo-Yeong Jeong. It could be assumed that Jeong is likely to receive the call once again to play a back-up role against Leipzig.

Franck Ribery was not at FC Bayern’s training today. It’s unrealistic that he’d play against Leipzig on Wednesday. Currently, though, there’s no way around Coman/Gnabry on the wings anyway. @SPORTBILD @BILD_Bayern
Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry started on the wings against Hannover 96 and would seemingly be in line to be in the starting XI once again against RB Leipzig this week. With Arjen Robben already ruled out until after the new year, Jeong and Thomas Müller would likely be considered the back-up wingers for Kovac this week.
