Per Dutch media outlet Omroep Brabant, PSV Eindhoven has reached out to Arjen Robben to gauge his interest in returning to his former club. The Bayern Munich winger’s legendary career featured a stint with PSV Eindhoven from 2002-2004.
PSV Managing Director Toon Gerbrands confirmed that PSV coach Mark van Bommel, a former teammate of Robben, has reached out to the 34-year-old star.
There has been contact. Mark (van Bommel), who played with Arjen, sent him a message, but it is, of course, up to Arjen to make that decision.

If Robben’s intention is to return to the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven would offer a unique way for the Dutchman to close out his career. There have also been some whispers that Robben would consider a return to his initial club FC Groningen as well, but nothing concrete has been reported to say if that is a actually a viable option for either party.
Groningen fans, however, want Robben to return in a bad way as seen in their message to him below.

Regardless, our dreams of a post-European career in Pennsylvania with the Philadelphia Union might be all for naught.
