After the stellar performance that Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery put up against SL Benfica, both of them had setbacks this weekend, with Robben renewing his knee injury and Ribery getting injured against Werder Bremen.
In 37th minute, Coman started warming up, and it seemed as if he would come on as a tactical substitute. But, unfortunately, a few moments later it was noticable that Ribery had problems running and eventually limped off the pitch. Coman played his first match after matchday one, when he was injured.
It is still unknown what kind of injury Ribery suffered, but it's definitely a bad time to get injured since Robben's injury state is also unknown. The only silver lining is that Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman are back from their injuries, but both of them just recovered, which could lead to another injury if they play too much. That's why it is good to have a natural winger as a back-up, and we hope that Robbery's injuries are not serious.
