Meet the CUBAYERN Fan Group (Bavarian Football Works)
As part of a weekly series that we will keep running as long as we have submissions (so keep them coming!), we are doing a brief profile of Bayern Munich fan groups globally. This week our subject is the CUBAYERN fan group, which is checking in from Havana, Cuba!
The club has a tremendous membership of 473 (!!), including 270 (!) in Havana, and has a normal meeting spot at El Tocororo Bar. CUBAYERN is an official fan club of FC Bayern and (this is pretty awesome) has the support of the German Embassy in Cuba, really driving home the connection to the club.
CUBAYERN is celebrating its anniversary this month and is absolutely looking forward to this weekend’s Der Klassiker match. This group is a riot...just check out their pictures in the gallery below. Every event looks like a ton of FUN!
If you live in the area and are looking for some like-minded (e.g., smart) Bayern fans or are traveling to Havana, please look this excellent group up and hang with them for a game!

Arjen Robben unable to practice today (@FCBayernEN)
Ahead of Der Klassiker, it looks like there is a chance that Arjen Robben could miss the match with what is rumored to be a knee injury.

Manchester United could join Bayern in hunt for de Ligt (Calciomercato)
Matthijs de Ligt will continue to be a popular figure on the transfer market, but it is not just Bayern pursuing the Dutchman. Aside of Die Roten, Barcelona, Juventus, and now....Manchester United figure to make Ajax an offer for the defensive phenom.
...even Manchester United is ready to present an offer...
The FC Bayern Frauen have their draw for the UWCL (@UWCL)
The Bayern Munich Women will face off with Slavia Praha in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals. This should be a good draw for the ladies as the are inching closer to making a Champions League dream a reality.

Report: Tottenham Hotspur may pursue Jerome Boateng in the summer (Transfer Market Web)
This one one sort of comes out of nowhere, but a report out of England is Jerome Boateng to a move that would see him join Harry Kane and company.
While his PSG summer move failed last-minute, German international center back Jerome Boateng (30) has allegedly become an item of interest for Tottenham now. Bayern Munich veteran might in fact be approached by Spurs, as long as they sign over Toby Alderweireld, on an expiring deal course, tracked by many clubs, including Manchester United. Boateng experienced Premier League back in 2010/11, playing for Man. City, just before joining Bayern, which is still on a deal with until June 2021.
Bayern, of course, has been linked to Toby Alderweireld in the recent past, so this was a little bit curious to say the least.
