Sandro Wagner reportedly could be on his way to London at the beginning of the upcoming transfer window. According to The Irish Sun, two Premier League teams are battling over Bayern’s back-up striker.

West Ham boss Manuel Pelligrini is looking to bring in a fresh face to complement Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic. The Hammers also have Andy Carroll, who is finally ready to play for the first time this year, coming off an ankle injury. The burly Englishman is constantly fighting injuries. And then there is Javier Hernandez. Chicharito has only scored ten goals in 43 games played since joining the club. Reports also link him to be on his way out in January.

The other team reportedly vying for Wagner is Crystal Palace. They are currently hovering just above the relegation zone. They have also been plagued with injuries this year, missing their striker Christian Benteke, who is currently out with a knee injury. Palace could use a boost on offense to stay in the top flight. They have scored only four goals in their last seven games.

Wagner has started in just two games this season in all competitions. His lone goal came in one of those starts in the DFB-Pokal against fourth-tier SV Rödinghausen. The Irish Sun claims that Wagner is sick of being second-fiddle to Robert Lewandowski, but an overall lack of playing time under Niko Kovac would be more likely. At any rate, many believe that six foot, four inch German International still has a lot to give.
