The injury gods know no boundaries when it comes to Bayern Munich. Per a report by FCBayern.com, James Rodriguez has become the latest player to be stricken down.

The talented Colombian international suffered the injury today in training and is expected to be sidelined for “the next few weeks.” James will have his knee immobilized for 10 days before beginning therapy and rehabilitation.

Bayern will have to do without James Rodríguez in the next few weeks. The Colombian suffered a torn ligament in his left knee in training on Tuesday. This resulted in an investigation by club doctor. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt.

James joins Kingsley Coman and Thiago Alcantara as players who have incurred serious, but not season-ending, injuries so far this season. Corentin Tolisso was not so lucky, however, after tearing knee ligaments and being ruled out for the season.

It has not been an advantageous start to the season for James’ health-wise, as he has also been dealing with chronic calf issues, which that have also limited his availability at times for Bayern.

With James out, it could be expected that Thomas Muller, Leon Goretzka, and Renato Sanches will all see expanded roles on the pitch.
