We’re back on the trail of the three Bayern Munich players on on loan to start the 2018-19 Bundesliga season. Marco Friedl and Timothy Tillman are playing this season with Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Nürnberg, while Adrian Fein is in the 2.Bundesliga with Jahn Regensburg.
Marco Friedl - Werder Bremen
It was another Werder Bremen match, another win, and another DID NOT PLAY for Marco Friedl. At the beginning of the season, Friedl said he wanted to have his contract purchased by Werder outright at the end of the season, so it’ll be interesting to see if he wants to stick to that if his current playing time continues. Through the first seven Bundesliga matches, Friedl has made only one appearance as a kill-off-the-game substitute.
Friedl’s loan with Werder ends in June 2019.
Timothy Tillman - Nürnberg
Timothy Tillman didn’t make the matchday squad for Nürnberg’s first team again, but that might have been the best for him on Sunday. Nürnberg got their heads beat in to the tune of a 6-0 loss against RB Leipzig. However, Tillman did go 90 minute for Nürnberg’s reserve in the Regionalliga Bayern in a 0-0 draw against Garching. If Tillman was going to be relegated to playing in the Regionalliga, wouldn’t it have been best for him to be with Bayern’s reserves?
Tillman’s loan with Nürnberg ends in June 2019.
Adrian Fein - Jahn Regensburg (2.Bundesliga Matchday 9)
It was a great weekend for Adrian Fein, as the young midfielder went 87 minutes in Jahn Regensburg’s 1-1 draw with Greuther Fürth. According to all reports, the midfielder put in a Man of the Match-worthy performance. Regensburg has been a solid landing spot for Fein, and the playing time that he’s received is proof of that.
Fein’s loan with Jahn Regensburg ends in June 2019.
