It's about time for us Bayern players: Manuel Neuer looks forward to breaking the winless streak

After the last three fruitless matches, Bayern Munich is looking forward to putting an end to their winless run as they face Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Bayern would've lost their last Champions League match against AFC Ajax if it weren't for Manuel Neuer's timely clearances and saves. Although, the captain doesn't seem to be interested in accepting all the praise:

Sven would have done just as good of a job.

The mistakes, and the players who made the mistakes that led to the undesired results, have been different in each match. Robben, for instance, helped the team pick up a point against Augsburg by cutting in and hitting the net a few minutes after the halftime, yet the Dutchman failed to give a satisfying performance against AFC Ajax. In essence, no one player or mistake defines Bayern's weak performance:

Each game needs to be viewed individually. Against Augsburg and Hertha very little contributed to us conceding those goals. Against Ajax we opened up a little more, but also played against a different team.

Bayern failed to make use of the chances they had in front of them, which is one of the important reasons why the results weren't in their favour:

We had good and bad phases in the match, both teams had their chances, Ajax the better ones. We couldn’t perform consistently over 90 minutes. I don’t know why there was a kink in our game after the 15th minute. But not everything was bad.

Nobody is happy about the results of the last few matches and the players are eager to find themselves on top of the table after Saturday's match. Currently Borussia Dortmund is leading the league with 14 points, one point ahead of the Bavarians:

We have a different requirement. Every player is motivated, we have the quality, and we know that. And everyone is longing for a win in the next game. After such a stretch it’s about time for us Bayern players.

When the season started, many thought that things would be perfect under Niko Kovaç. And, indeed, they were perfect. But according to Neuer, it is too early for predictions:

We were very secure and played good football. But not every game was perfect. We knew that we were celebrated very early and had to stay grounded. These things happen very quickly. We did not think this would be easy and we could march right through. You can lose points to uncomfortable opponents, and that’s what we did.
