We’re back on the trail of the three Bayern Munich players on on loan to start the 2018-19 Bundesliga season. Marco Friedl and Timothy Tillman are playing this season with Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Nürnberg, while Adrian Fein is in the 2.Bundesliga with Jahn Regensburg.
Marco Friedl - Werder Bremen
Marco Friedl started against Bayer Leverkusen! Werder Bremen lost 6-2. Yikes. Friedl was yanked at halftime for Claudio Pizarro. It’s not that Friedl was playing particularly more poor than his teammates, but Leverkusen were up 3-0 at the half. The former Bayern forward scored (The goals marks his 19th straight season with a goal.), and Werder pulled the score back to 3-2. However, Leverkusen then pounded three more goals in the second half. Woof.
Friedl’s loan with Werder ends in June 2019.
Timothy Tillman - Nürnberg
Tillman didn’t make the matchday squads for Nürnberg’s first team or their reserves down in the Regionalliga. This loan is a big disappointment. Tillman has been one of the highest rated prospects that Bayern has had in a few years, so this is not ideal.
Tillman’s loan with Nürnberg ends in June 2019.
Adrian Fein - Jahn Regensburg (2.Bundesliga Matchday 11)
Adrian Fein went 90 minutes in Jahn Regensburg’s 3-3 draw with Bochum on Monday evening. Fein was again one of the highest rated players on the field, and the last minute goal by Regensburg helped keep them in the top half of the table.
Fein’s loan with Jahn Regensburg ends in June 2019.
