We’re back on the trail of the three Bayern Munich players on on loan to start the 2018-19 Bundesliga season. Marco Friedl and Timothy Tillman are playing this season with Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Nürnberg, while Adrian Fein is in the 2.Bundesliga with Jahn Regensburg.
Marco Friedl - Werder Bremen
Friedl made the bench but didn’t play in Werder Bremen’s 2-0 win over Schalke on Saturday. The win moves Werder into second place behind table leaders Borussia Dortmund. After Friedl saw significant playing time in the spring for Werder, that playing time just isn’t materializing for him so far this season. It’s likely that this will continue barring injuries.
Friedl’s loan with Werder ends in June 2019.
Timothy Tillman - Nürnberg
Tillman didn’t suit up for Nürnberg’s first team on Saturday in their 1-3 loss to Hoffenheim, but that’s because he was playing in Nürnberg II’s 1-2 loss to Viktoria Aschaffenburg. Tillman went 71 minute in the Regionalliga Bayern. Again: Unless he 100% just didn’t want to be in Munich, what was the point of this loan? He could play in the Regionalliga with Bayern Munich II.
Tillman’s loan with Nürnberg ends in June 2019.
Adrian Fein - Jahn Regensburg (2.Bundesliga Matchday 10)
Fein started and went the distance in Jahn Regensburg’s 1-1 draw with Darmstadt. Regensburg are up to 9th in the 2.Bundesliga table but only five points behind first place after 10 games. Fein was one of the highest rated players on the field against Darmstadt, and at the moment, this loan has been a fabulous success for the youngster.
Fein’s loan with Jahn Regensburg ends in June 2019.
