How will Bayern Munich line up against Wolfsburg?

In the midst of this media firestorm, let’s not forget the most important thing - the game on Saturday.

The international break is over, and Niko Kovac looks like he’s aged 30 years in two weeks. The coach seems like a personification of Bayern Munich at the moment — old, gray, and fraying at the edges. VfL Wolfsburg will probably be licking their lips at this opportunity. Germany’s biggest club looks decidedly mortal.

Team News

Niko Kovac didn’t say anything about the team, just reiterating things about being “positive” and “rotation”. We at least know that Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman definitely won’t be participating, as they were ruled out with long term injuries — but maybe Rafinha could be back in time to make the game. Apart from that, Jerome Boateng, who pulled out of National Team duty with an injury, is fit and should be ready for selection.

James Rodriguez returned late from international duty with Colombia. While media outlets speculated that Thomas Muller would start ahead of him for that reason, Kovac said he thinks he will fit and ready for the weekend, so maybe we can consider him a shoe-in for the squad.

Anyway, without further ado, here are our predictions for the lineup:
