Bayern Munich capped off their week long training camp in Doha with a 6-0 friendly win over Qatari side, Al Ahli FC. Jupp Heynckes utilized the occasion to really look at his squad depth, using a total of 21 players throughout the 90 minutes and making a total of ten changes at halftime. Here are the two teams:
First half: Ulreich – Götze, Boateng, Friedl, Alaba – Tolisso, Rudy, James - Müller, Wagner, Ribery
Second half: Starke – Rafinha, Mai, Süle, Bernat – Dorsch, Martinez, Vidal – Robben, Tolisso, Coman
Corentin Tolisso was the only player in the squad to play the full 90 minutes, playing as striker in the second half. Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski were left out as injury precautions, while Joshua Kimmich was left out due to illness.
Most notably, Sandro Wagner was given his first minutes in a Bayern shirt since joining from Hoffenheim at the start of the January transfer window, and got off to a scoring start.
After a relatively slow start where Bayern struggled to convert their chances, the goals started to pour in after Wagner broke the deadlock in the 38th minute with a fine header.
