Another day another transfer rumor - and this time it doesn’t involve Gareth Bale. According to kicker, USMNT youth player Taylor Booth is being seriously pursued by Bayern Munich. Booth is a dynamic and versatile midfielder who can play a holding position or attacking role.

The midfielder, a product of Real Salt Lake’s youth academy, has not signed a senior contract with his club, so Bayern could potentially snatch him up for free. He and the club have reportedly come to an agreement and the deal should be finalized in the coming weeks.

The move reflects Bayern’s newfound determination to develop youth players as a means of circumventing the current transfer market. Along with the new FC Bayern Campus, which was christened last summer, Bayern have moved swiftly to sign several moves talented youngsters from all over the globe. The club also notably signed its first Korean player, Wooyeong Jong, to play with the youth team at the Säbener Strasse earlier this year.

With Lars Lukas Mai, Oliver Batista-Meier, Franck Evina, and Marcel Zylla already playing at the U-17 and U-19 level for the German giants, the addition of Booth might just pave the way to another golden generation.
