Hoeneß on Goretzka: “Nothing has been decided yet” (RevierSport)

“There are no contracts yet,” Hoeneß confirmed at the New Year's reception of the DFL. He added, “The chances are good. If he comes to us, that'd be good. Also for him.” But he cautioned, “As stated: Nothing is set in stone. Nothing has been signed. Not until the doctor says 'yes' at the end is a transfer complete.” Schalke's Christian Heidel, who was literally standing across the room, told the reporter, “That corresponds to what we've been told.” So there.

Bayern Munich will play Paderborn on February 6 (Kicker)

The DFB has announced the schedule of the quarterfinals of the DFB Pokal. Bayern's game against Paderborn will take place on Feb. 6, at 6:30 PM local time (12:30 EST). Because the match in Paderborn must kick off so early (a successful lawsuit by the residents forces the stadium to close by 10:00 PM), ARD will not be able to broadcast it on free television in Germany. We will see how the match is broadcast elsewhere closer to the date.

Aubameyang: “Can you bring me to London one day? I don't know, just for fun...” (Metro News)

The lols just keep coming from Borussia Dortmund's naughty star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. After making the remark quoted above to English teammate Jadon Sancho, the English press has exploded with speculation of a move to Arsenal. Auba was suspended from Dortmund's match against Wolfsburg (0:0) for disciplinary reasons. According to some tweets, Bild apparently also claim in their print edition that he faked a concussion before Dortmund's DFB Pokal match against Bayern, after BVB's management refused a transfer request.
