Just over 24 hours after being announced as the new sporting director at Bayern Munich, Hasan Salihamidžić has reminded everyone (via Sport BILD) that the transfer window remains open until Aug. 31 and that Bayern could be doing some more business before the window closes:

One thing is clear: Bayern Munich is never a one man show. We talk about everything. The transfer window is open until the end of the month. We're not saying that we're done. . . Normally, we have a very, very strong roster. And that's why I'm also not worried.

The statement from Salihamidžić, after the disappointing 3-0 loss to Liverpool in the Audi Cup on Tuesday, comes amidst rumors linking Renato Sanches with a potential loan move away from Bayern. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted Sanches will stay. Although Bayern have already acquired Corentin Tolisso, Serge Gnarby, and James Rodriguez to bolster their midfield, Salihamidžić’s remarks suggest that they may be looking to make additions elsewhere.

An overall sluggish preseason for Bayern has been cause for some concern, but Saturday’s clash against Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup could prove to be a more accurate barometer of where the squad is at with just over two weeks left before the start of the 2017-2018 Bundesliga campaign.
