After a rather grueling, and disappointment-filled preseason tour of Asia, Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti will finally be smiling today as some of his biggest stars return from their holidays. Arturo Vidal and Joshua Kimmich return to training at the Säbener Straße, after a summer spent playing a key role in taking their respective national teams to the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup.
They are joined by new signings Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy, both of whom joined the club after stellar seasons with Julian Nagelsmann’s Hoffenheim, finishing fourth in the Bundesliga. Carlo Ancelotti is expected to have the services of almost all of his players at his disposal for the upcoming Audi Cup game against Liverpool, which kicks off Aug. 2.
