Czech club FC Viktoria Pilsen made sudsy waves today as it christened what is unquestionably the most magnificent bench in all professional soccer. True to form in the city that gave pilsner beer to the world, Viktoria’s bench at Doosan Arena is a massive can of Grambrinus Plná 12 pilsner beer:

The bench was crafted over four weeks from two tons of metal and 300 square meters of aluminum; it was months in preparation. Fans got a glimpse of its eye-popping design and incredible detail - even down to the pull tab on top of the can - in photos shared by the club earlier today:

The bench is not just a visual masterpiece, but boasts genuine comfort for Pilsen’s players: the substitutes’ luxury seats are leather - provided by automotive leather company Lear - and feature heating for the cold Czech winter months. In Pilsen, the beer-can bench warms you. Na zdraví, King Gambrinus!
