German journalist Raphael Honigstein tweeted in response to fan questions Tuesday that it’s his “understanding” that Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka has “agreed terms” with Bayern Munich and that the deal is “done.”
My understanding that he's agreed terms with them. Will arrive 2018. (Another reason why the Bayern-Keita story is pure fantasy, btw)

deal with Bayern is done.

Goretzka has long been linked with a move to Bayern, and even went so far as to refute rumors of a move back in May. Real Madrid allegedly took an interest in Goretzka according to reports in Spain after playing well for Germany in its winning FIFA Confederations Cup campaign this summer. Goretzka is signed with Schalke through June 2018, but can begin negotiating with other clubs in January 2018.
But if Honigstein’s reporting is correct, Bayern will add another coveted young player to an expanding stable of precocious talent.
