Just get it over with.

Bayern Munich’s preseason so far hasn’t been fun. A hectic schedule, combined with extreme heat and humidity, have left the team floundering. An unfortunate loss to Arsenal on penalties was followed by an embarrassing 4-0 drubbing by AC Milan. To make matters worse, Juan Bernat has gone back to Munich to join a rather extensive injury roster, which includes the likes of Jerome Boateng, Arjen Robben, Thiago Alcantara, Manuel Neuer, and Sven Ulreich.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will be licking his lips at the prospect of doing one over on the European heavyweights, especially with the squad in the state that it is in. Chelsea themselves have strengthened over the summer, sporting new additions such as Alvaro Morata and Tiemoué Bakayoko. It is hoped that Carlo Ancelotti will be ready for English Champions. The team needs to bounce back after what Karl-Heinz Rummenigge called a “dead day” on Saturday.

It’s (not really) Bayern time.
