This year marks the 25th anniversary of Denmark’s 2-0 win over Germany in the final of Euro ‘92 so this is a fitting encounter. Of course, Germany has 12 players in its current squad there were not even born at the time of the final, including Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich and soon-to-be Bayern player Niklas Süle, both of whom were born in 1995. Another soon-to-be Bayern player, Sebastian Rudy, was born in 1990, which makes him one of the oldest players in the current squad.
